Ryan Harris

About me:

My passion for sport has always played a huge role in my life, having played tennis to a national standard as a junior and attended a high-performance tennis academy in France for 2 years at the age of 13.

I have worked with children for the last 10 years in a number of different roles, gaining a lot of valuable experience along the way. I began my coaching career at the age of 17 as a multi-sports coach at David Lloyd Manchester, and I then furthered my knowledge and expertise when becoming a Tennis coach for the company a few years later.

In that time, I also gained valuable coaching experience working for one of the UK’s leading tennis holiday companies, Active Away – https://www.activeaway.com

In 2016, I decided to leave my role as a Tennis coach to set up School of Sport. I wanted to use my knowledge & experience to have an impact on a larger number of children.

In that time we have gone from running just one after school tennis class at Davyhulme Primary School, to now delivering over 60 extra-curricular classes per week in more than 20 different primary schools across Greater Manchester.

In addition to this, we also have a very popular holiday club in Urmston, where we get upwards of 65 children per day attending during over summer months.

My vision:

For School of Sport to inspire thousands of children every day and become the most trusted extra-curricular and holiday club provider in Manchester, renowned for offering unmatched quality and value.

About me:

I have worked with children for the past 10 years, 5 of which have been in primary schools. As I have grown up in a deprived area and being a mother myself, I understand how important it is for children to have positive role models in their life from a young age and hope this is something I can be to many of the children we see.

My vision:

To encourage as many children as possible to have a passion for something they enjoy. I want children to be excited about attending school and look forward to learning new things, as well as directing them to stay on the right path in life.
